The Transparency Act came into force on July 1, 2022. The purpose of the Act is to promote businesses' respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and the provision of services. As subsidiaries of the Bøndenes Hus Group, Hotell Bondeheimen and Kaffistova are covered by the Transparency Act.

The Transparency Act also aims to ensure public access to information on how businesses address negative consequences for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions.
